우리가 하는 일은 발전을 가져오기 위해서 하는 것이지 무엇을 바라고 하는 것은 아닙니다. 이 음악을 하는 것도 우리 교회의 발전을 위해서 하는 것 이지 개인적인 목적을 위해서 하는 것은 아닙니다. 그 음악이나 모든 것의 근 원이 어떤 개인이 아니기 때문에 나눠 줘야 됩니다. 자기 나름대로 남들이 생 각하지 않은 어떤 개념이 있다고 할 지라도 그것은 더 높은 그 무엇을 위해서 있는 것입니다. 그러니까 전체를 어느 개인이 자기의 것처럼 차지할 수가 없어 요. 살아서 영광 받기를 좋아하는 사람들이 있다면 그들이야 말로 참으로 어리 석은 자들입니다. 영광은 죽어서 받는 것입니다.
私たちがすることは発展をもたらすためであり、何かを望んで行うのではありません。この音楽をすることも、私たちの教会の発展のためであり、個人的な目的のためにすることではありません。その音楽やすべてのものの根源は特定の個人ではないため、分かち合わなければいけません。たとえ自分なりに他の人が考えもしなかった概念を持っていたとしても、それはより高い何かのためにあるのです。ですから、全体をある個人が自分のもののように独占することはできません。生きている間に栄光を受けたがる人々がいるならば、彼らこそ本当に愚かな者たちです。栄光とは、死んで受けるものなのです。
What we do is to bring about development, not to seek something in return. Doing this music is also for the development of our church, not for personal gain. Since the origin of this music and everything else is not belong to any individual, it must be shared. Even if one has a unique concept that others have never thought of, it exists for something greater. Therefore, no individual can claim the whole as their own. Those who desire to receive glory while alive are truly foolish. Glory is something that is received after death.
어떤 위치나 자리 때문에 저절로 되어지는 일은 없어요. 어떤 자리에 대한 책임은 자동적으로 되는 게 아닙니다. 남들보다 몇배를 더 고생하고 노력 해야 됩니다. 어떤 위치에 있는자일 수록 남들이 잠잘 때 자지 않으면서 더 열 심히 연구하고 더 열심히 일해야 됩니다. 특히 타인종과 같이 일할 때는 예기 치 않은 문제점이 생길 수 있습니다. 그때에 어떤 위치를 강조하기 보다는 인 간적으로 먼저 상대의 생각속에 내가 들어가서 생각해 보고 문제점들을 하나하 나 어떤 원칙을 놓고 풀이를 해주고 정리를 해 줘야 됩니다. 그래야 새로운 출 발이 가능해 집니다.
ある立場や地位があるからといって、物事が自然にうまくいくわけではありません。ある地位に対する責任は、自動的に生じるものではありません。他の人より何倍も苦労し、努力しなければなりません。地位が高くなるほど、他の人が眠っているときにも休まず、さらに熱心に研究し、懸命に働かなければなりません。特に他の人種や文化の人々と共に働くときには、予期せぬ問題が発生することがあります。そのようなとき、地位や立場を強調するのではなく、まず人間として相手の考えの中に入って、理解し、問題点を一つ一つ、原則に基づいて解決し、整理しなければなりません。そうしてこそ、新たな出発が可能になるのです。
Just because someone holds a certain position or status does not mean that things will naturally go smoothly. Responsibility for a position does not arise automatically. One must endure hardships and put in several times more effort than others. The higher the position, the more one must work tirelessly—studying diligently and working hard even when others are asleep. Especially when working with people of different races or cultures, unexpected problems may arise. In such situations, rather than emphasizing one's position or status, it is important to first enter the other person's mindset as a fellow human being, understand their perspective, and address each issue based on clear principles. Only then can a new beginning become possible.
교회에서 어떤 일을 할 때는 아무 생각 없이 잘 죽으려고 하는게 좋아 요. 어떤 때는 그게 차라리 나아요. 그렇게 하게 되면 이것은 말이 아니라 진 짜 간략한 어떤 예가 됩니다. 복잡하지 않고 긴 말이 필요 없는 좋은 예가 돼 버려요. 잘 죽으려고 하게 되면 예를 복잡하게 만들지 않아도 돼요. 남들에게 쉽게 설명하기 위해서 하루하루를 이렇게 살 수 있어야 합니다. 그래서 언제나 그 일의 기본을 찾아야 돼요. 남들이 이해하기 쉽게 그 원점을 찾아야 돼요. 언제나 남들보다 힘들고 어렵게 사는게 좋은 거예요. 남들이 어떻게 생각해도 죽게 되면 이게 사실인지 아닌지 확실해 질 겁니다. 남들이 모르는 것을 남겨 놓고 죽을 수 있어야 돼요.
教会で何かの仕事をする時には何も考えずに、よく死のうとした方が良いです。時には、そのほうがむしろ良いのです。そうすることで、これは言葉ではなく、本当にわかりやすい例となります。複雑にならず、長い説明も不要な、良い例となるのです。よく死のうとするようになれば、物事を複雑にしなくてもいいのです。他の人に分かりやすく説明するために、一日一日をこのように生きることができなければなりません。だからこそ、常にその仕事の基本を探さなければいけません。他の人が理解しやすいように、その原点を探さなければなりません。人より大変で苦しい生活をするのがいいんです。他の人が何を思おうと、死を迎えたとき、それが本当のことであったのかどうかがはっきりするでしょう。他人が知らないことを残して死ぬことができなければなりません。
When doing work in the church, it is best to dedicate yourself fully without overthinking and focus on dying well. Sometimes, that is actually the better way. By doing so, it does not remain mere words but becomes a truly clear and practical example—one that does not require complexity or lengthy explanations. If you commit yourself to dying well, you will not need to make things complicated. To help others understand, you must live each day in this manner. That is why it is essential to always seek the fundamental principles of the work you do and find the core meaning in a way that others can easily grasp. Living a life that is more difficult and challenging than others is the right path. No matter what people may think, when the moment of death comes, the truth of what you lived for will become clear. You must strive to leave behind something unknown to others before you die.
우리가 생각하는 것들은 죽을 때까지 그 생각이 이어져야 돼요. 이어지 지 않는 것들은 모순이 있는 것이기 때문에 비판을 해야 돼요. 누구나 완벽하 게 되는 것을 좋아합니다. 그런데 완벽하게 되는 것이 쉬운 것이 아닙니다.
私たちが考えることは、死ぬまでその考えが続かないといけないです。続かないとうことは矛盾があることなので、批判しないといけないです。誰もが完璧になることを好みます。しかし、完璧を成し遂げることは簡単なことではありません。
Our thoughts must remain consistent until the day we die. If they do not, it means there is a contradiction, and such inconsistencies must be questioned. Everyone desires to be perfect, but achieving perfection is not easy.
그것도 어느 한 순간의 완벽은 더욱 더 쉬운 게 아닙니다. 그게 얼마나 힘든지 알아요? 완벽을 찾는 길목에서는 죽음을 두려워 해서는 안 돼요. 기계처럼 생 각하면서 살 수 있어야 돼요. 목적이 더 커졌다 하면 그 목적을 위해서 어떠한 호기심도 없이 단순하게 살 수 있어야 돼요. 그 길이 숙명이라면 죽어서도 가 야 되는 겁니다. 죽기만 하면 더 쉬워지 지요. 언제나 자기자신을 그렇게 훈 련 시키면서 살아야 돼요. 죽기 위해서 싸우는 사람들은 어느 단계에 올라가면 눈빛만 봐도 상대가 누구인지 금방 알 수 있어요.
それに、一瞬の完璧さを達成することは、もっと簡単なことではありません。それがどれほど大変なことか分かりますか？完璧をみつける道において、死を恐れてはいけません。機械のように考えながら生きていかなければなりません。目的がさらに大きくなったなら、その目的のために、どんな好奇心も持たず、ただシンプルに生きることができなければなりません。その道が宿命であるならば、死んでもなお進まなければならないのです。死ねさえすればもっと簡単になります。 いつも自分自身をそのように訓練させながら生きなければなりません。死を覚悟して闘う者は、ある段階に達すると、目つきを見ただけで相手が誰なのかすぐに分かるようになります。
Moreover, achieving even a moment of perfection is far from easy. Do you realize how difficult that is? On the path to discovering perfection, one must not fear death. You must live thinking like a machine. If your purpose grows even greater, you must be able to live simply for that purpose, without any distractions or idle curiosity. If that path is your destiny, then even in death, you must continue forward. It's easier when you die. You should always live by training yourself like that. People who fight to die can quickly tell who they are by just looking at their eyes when they go up to a certain stage.
